veekay: I am career soldier who was commissioned into the Corps of Signals of the Indian Army on 27 June 1965. I served in the Army for 37 years, retiring in 2002. I took part in the Himalayan Rally thrice, from 1982 to 84. In my younger days I was a regular contributor to magazines and journals, and many of my short stories and poems were published in the Illustrated Weekly, Filmfare, Femina and Eve’s Weekly in the seventies and eighties. In later years I took to professional writing and now write in newspapers and professional journals on defence, intelligence and security related issues. I have authored six books.
